Doing a dive safari in the Red Sea has been on my radar for a few years. I couldn't imagine visiting this region without doing a specific diving trip, so I booked us 7 days on a live-aboard dive boat. The itinerary was to leave from Porto Ghalib and dive three main areas: Elphinstone reef, the Brothers Islands, and Daedalus.
Legend has it that Siquijor (pronounced See Key Whore) is full of mystics, shamans, voo doo, and healers. Superstition keeps many Filipinos from visiting the sleepy island. We spent 6 days there and had to experience some sort of healing treatment ourselves.
There's nothing quite like a beautiful, sunny day on the ski slopes, especially if it just snowed the night before. I just love hitting the mountain for some epic runs, but it never fails that several times a day I am triggered with a pet peeve. You know what I'm saying because I know you feel it too. Unless, of course, you're one of these people. #theshame
After getting on the board for the first time I nearly gave up, but I'm so glad I didn't because now I'm hooked. I'm going to share I learned in those few weeks of getting my ass kicked in the water in hopes to help others have a better experience learning.
Nick and I have been jumping since 2004 (technically he made his first 4 jumps in 2001, but had to take a few years off due to a shoulder injury). In that time we've jumped at 22 dropzones and only lost two feet. #winning
