Egypt has been at the very top of my travel bucket list since I was a teenager. I can remember many nights thumbing through a mid-nineties Egypt guidebook before bed, dreaming of the dusty adventures I would have exploring this ancient land.
In 2017, we spent 3 weeks traveling around Egypt. We saw Cairo, Giza, the Sinai Peninsula, Luxor, and life below the Red Sea.
Making it to Egypt from the U.S. isn’t easy, and neither is being there, but it’s worth it.
From seeing the sparkling treasures unearthed from King Tut’s tomb, to standing at the base of the Great Pyramid of Khufu, to watching the sunrise over the Valley of Kings in Luxor while soaring overhead in a hot air balloon, Egypt is full of wonder and adventure.
